Looking for surf lessons in Lagos? You're in the right place. The Surf Experience has run daily surf lessons on the beaches of the western Algarve since 1992.
We are the original surf school in Lagos, and still the best. Our day trips are open to everyone, whether you're booked into our surf camp or just staying in town for a few days and want to get in the water.
Every morning we take a small group to the best beach for the day's conditions, with fully qualified, English-speaking instructors who coach everyone from complete beginners to independent surfers.
Board, wetsuit, transport from central Lagos and a homemade lunch are all included, so all you need to bring is yourself and some sun cream.
You'll get 2–3 hours of tuition per day, and because the groups are small, you get real attention and progress fast.
Prefer to surf more than one day? Add days as you go and the price per day drops.

The easiest time to learn to surf, and our busiest season. Book ahead.
SPRING & AUTUMN
Apr - Jun. Oct
Fewer crowds, warm days and consistent, clean surf. Arguably the sweet spot.
Ideal for beginners and improvers alike, at low-season prices.
WINTER
Nov - Mar
Bigger Atlantic swells on the west coast for improvers and independent surfers, with mild Algarve weather.
We still go every day the sea allows.
